Ginger Spangler is a 1996 Summa Cum Laude graduate of UNCC with a BFA degree in painting and Art Education. |

She has won numerous art and academic awards, including the 1996 Outstanding Senior of the Year in Art. In 1996 she was a recipient of the North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grant for her work visually documenting Southern oral traditions. She later served on the NC Regional Artist Grant Panel, once serving as Chair of the committee. |

A working artist whose paintings and mixed media collages have been selected for exhibitions throughout the Southeast, Ginger has also had a number of solo exhibitions.

Most recently she was invited to participate in "Generation To Generation", an exhibit to be held April 13 to June 4, 2009 at the Cabarrus Arts Council, Historic Cabarrus Courthouse in Concord.

Currently Ginger is painting portraits of children, inspired by her own three grandchildren whose portraits are currently on display at Buffalo Creek Gallery in Shelby, NC. She also displays her funky animal portraits and landscapes. "We live on a farm and the animals are handy and fascinating subjects." |

Ginger and her husband Ronnie reside in rural Cleveland County. Daughter, Katie and her husband Greg Earl and baby Cooper live nearby. Son Josh, his wife Brooke and their children Bryce and baby Taylor live in Charlotte.
